During your stay in the hospital, you’re probably going to miss a big chunk of time at school. Most hospitals have an in-hospital school program. Teachers will either come to your hospital room or you will meet them in a special classroom and they will help you keep up with your learning.

They will also keep in touch with your school to make sure you’re staying on top of things as best you can. It won’t be a full day, as if you were still attending school, but it will be enough to keep you on track and so you don’t fall too far behind. These teachers have special training in working with kids with health conditions.

Keeping up with your education is important and will help you maintain a large part of your everyday routine.
